Private Limited was formed in the year 1994 by Mr. SK.
Poddar, a Chartered Accountant, to diversify into export
business. Mr H.M. Marda, also a Chartered Accountant, was staying in Moscow in 1993 and associated himself with
Mr. S. K. Poddar. It was during the period from 1993-1995 that the market for Emami & Himani Cosmetics & Toiletries was developed by
Mr Marda in Moscow. After working hard for about two years the first breakthrough was achieved in the year 1995 when we got good export orders of Cosmetics & Toiletries from Russia. In the next 2-3 years we established good relationship with our buyers in Russia because of our philosophy of customer satisfaction. We supplied quality goods at reasonable prices and matched their delivery schedules as well. The result is such that over the years Emami & Himani brand of Cosmetics & Toiletries has become a household name in Russia.
After carving a niche for ourselves in Russia
and with a fire to expand business further, we looked towards Middle East which was another upcoming market for
Industrial Garments and Leather hand Gloves. Middle East being a highly competitive market, it took us little time to establish ourselves, but ultimately the goal was achieved.

us. Our philosophy is to make even small customers feel
big while dealing with us. Because of our high ethical
standards, good performance and continued endeavour in achieving
excellence, today we are a major supplier in many E.U.
countries.
The
group also has interest in a Sponge Iron Plant in Orissa
having a capacity of 40,000 TPA and further expansion of
capacity is already in progress. the group has recently
set up a unit at Chennai for manufacture of Plastic
Master Batch & additives with a production capacity
of approx. 3000 TPA. Further diversification is also
under active consideration.
The group has also setup a rigid PVC Pipe manufacturing unit in Kolkata, with a production capacity of approx 1500 metric tonnes per annum.

long business experience in industry and trade. They are
ably supported by a team of professional and
dedicated staff having good experience in India
and abroad.
